Oneserve Mobile App Settings for Android

This page contains tips for using the Oneserve Mobile App with an Android Phone.

Accessing the Browser
The Oneserve Mobile App can be accessed from the regular web browser that comes with your phone. This normally appears on the home page as a globe icon. Touch this icon to open the browser.  If this is your first time using the Browser the Browser home page will be displayed. Touch the URL bar at the top of the page - you may need to swipe the page down a bit to reveal the bar. The enter the address for Oneserve mobile: live.oneserve.co.uk/yoursite/
 
Accessing the Browser Menu
When in the Browser you can access additional functions by pressing the Menu button (depending on your phone and operating system version this will be a button at the top or bottom of the screen with 3 dots, 3 squares or the word Menu on it).
 
Refreshing the Browser
You can refresh the browser window by touching the Menu button and the touch Refresh.  This is often helps if you have a poor signal and something is taking a while (more than a few minutes) to complete.
 
Closing Browser Windows
You can open and close browser windows by touching the Menu button and selecting either New Window to open a new window or Windows to see a list of windows that you can then close.
 
Clearing the Browser Cache
It may be necessary to clear the browser cache to overcome an issue.  To do this:
  1. Touch the Settings icon on the home page.
  2. Select Applications
  3. Select Manage Applications
  4. Select the All tab
  5. Scroll down until you find Browser and select that
  6. Select Clear Data
  7. Touch OK to confirm
Killing the Browser
If the browser freezes, it may be necessary to kill the Browser.  
  1. Touch the Settings icon on the home page.
  2. Select Applications
  3. Select Manage Applications
  4. Select the All tab
  5. Scroll down until you find Browser and select that
  6. Select Force Stop
  7. Touch OK to confirm
